Week in Review - Jan. 30

This week was a good week. With the weather so cold the past couple of weeks (highs were in the negatives!), I had to get the kids out and breath in some fresh air.

Monday - Cleaning day. Trying to have a set schedule of at least one day of cleaning. I got ALL my laundry cleaned, folded, AND put away. I can not even tell you the last time I had all the clothes put away and not use sitting in a basket.

Tuesday - I attended my Beth Moore Bible study. It is such a joy to get together with a group of women that have the same spiritual relationship with Jesus like me. I learn something new everytime I do my homework. While I am at the study, Trent is playing with other kids in a different room. He looks forward to interacting with kids his own age.

Wednesday - GROCERY SHOPPING DAY!! The reason I shop on Wednesday is because the grocery store offers double coupon. That took a huge chuck out of our day.

Thursday - Went to a playgroup that involves a group of Christian woman. We get together and discuss ways of becoming better moms and how to interact with our children better. After that, we went to Target. They had a bunch of great toys discounted 75% off! I bought a few things with the thought of selling them on Ebay.

Friday - Went to a different Target to see what items they had on sale and got a few more things to sell. Went to Mcdonalds with another mom and her two kids and let the kids run wild in the play area.

Jan. 28th Shopping Day

What an awesome week for sales! Before I show you how much money I saved let me explain what I do. I am addicted to coupons! I am addicted to saving money on groceries! I am addicted to stockpiling! I started clipping coupons about 2 years ago when I found a website called The Grocery Game. This website helps by providing me a list of the sales from my local grocery store and matching coupons with those sales. It does the work for me and I love it! I have the website listed to the right if you want to check it out. If you should try it out, please think of me when it asks for who referred you! I also do great savings with just me looking at what is on sale and if I have a coupon for that item. This takes time but so worth it.

Back to my wonderful savings!! I went to 3 different stores. Piggly Wiggly, CVS, and Pick-n-Save.

So I am going to try this blogging thing again! I hope it helps with keeping the family informed of our lives.

We currently live in Wisconsin but feel God is pulling/pushing us in a different direction. We are not sure what is going to happen but continue to pray for His guidance and will.

We have 2 beautiful children. Trent is 3 years old and nothing but boy! He likes to run, jump and rough house with Daddy. I always say someone is going to get hurt and it is usually Joe! Katie Lyn is our little princess. She was born December 18th and 10 inches of snow followed her birth! She is nothing but perfect and we could not imagine our family without.

As for Joe, he is going non-stop right now. Working full time weeks with sometimes of overtime and then heading to the library for a couple of hours afterwards for school. Yet he still has time to play with Trent every night and hold Katie when I need him.

I am enjoying staying at home with both my babies. Going from one child to two is an everyday challenge but we take one day at a time. My LOVE right now is couponing, stockpiling and just saving money. I take great pride to go into a grocery store, spend $25.00 and walk out with +$50.00 worth of groceries. I plan on blogging about it!!
